SOCIAL ANGST is more than just a blog, it is an invitation to aid in the building of wealth through the shared task of information distribution and discussion. It is a call to engage – engage in society, engage with your peers, engage in your political system, engage in spreading the wealth that is information, and engage in multiplying that wealth through discussion – so that collectively we may become more socially aware, more socially responsible, more socially vocal and ultimately more socially valuable.

Show Your Support:
Happy Black Girl Day

Happy Black Girl Day!!

Sista Toldja (don't you just love the moniker!) over at Me, Myself and Eye has declared today Happy Black Girl Day a day to celebrate Black women everywhere:
In light of all the frustrating, disheartening and depressing news that so often tarnishes the name and the existance of Black women, I am declaring today a special day. Not just any day, but Happy Black Girl Day! No talk of who doesn't want us or what we can't have because we're Black. Just happy Black woman stuff. Tweet it, blog it, text it, call your friends and tell them all about it. Kiss a Black girl today, love a Black girl today. It's our day to be HAPPY!

**UPDATE: Happy Black Girl Day is SUCH a lovely success over on the Twitter that it shall now be observed on the 7th of every month! I'd love to have some of my fellow bloggers participate! Details to come!**

If you like the idea as much as I do, please head over to Me, Myself and Eye to show Sista Toldja some support.
